FAQ
When does the team practice?
The team works for most of the school year. We begin with tryouts during the second full week of the fall semester. After tryouts, we practice 3 nights a week for the fall semester. During the spring we practice 4 nights a week. Practices start after 7pm and may end as late as midnight. Midnight practices only occur during the winter months of spring semester.
Can I rush a fraternity?
The MSU Lacrosse program is a family. The time commitment involved is not compatible with Rushing a fraternity. We value the relationships that are formed during a players first semester with the team. Because of these reasons, first-year players (regardless of progress towards their degree) are prohibited from Rushing a fraternity.
How much does it cost and what is provided?
Typical dues are around $3,000. This pays for Helmets, Gloves, practice and game uniforms, polos, and shooting shirts. This also funds the teams travel including charter busses and hotels while on the road. Flights to spring break locations are not included.
