Kevin was named MCLA D1 Player of the year and Cam Holding the MCLA D1 Coach of the Year as a result of the Spartan's first national championship in lacrosse in 55 years of program history. Michigan State started men's lacrosse as a club sport in 1963 and transitioned to NCAA Division 1 from 1970 to 1997. Michigan State has won the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association conference seven years in a row and made their eighth consecutive trip to the 16 team MCLA national tournament this season.
