When did you first start playing lacrosse?
7th grade.
Why did you decide to come to Michigan State?
I was born up here in Michigan and I’m a 4th generation Spartan. So, I wanted to keep the tradition alive.
What does it mean to you to play lacrosse for Michigan State?
Playing for MSU lacrosse for me is being a part of a group of guys I an call my family.
What’s it like going to school so far from home?
It’s tough not being able to see your family every day but it’s also a completely different way of life in Michigan.
What’s your favorite lacrosse memory?
I scored the goal of the week in high school against our rivals in the district playoffs. (Watch the goal here.)
Do you have a nickname and how did it start?
Everyone calls me “Nut.” The nickname was given to me in high school by my teammates because it was easier to say than “Bennett.” Originally it was “B-nut” and then it just shortened into “Nut.”
If you could be any cartoon character, who would it be and why?
Bugs Bunny since he got to take down the monsters with MJ in Space Jam.
Who would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with?
Michael Scofield because that man can escape from anywhere.
