1.) When did you first start playing lacrosse?
I first started playing lacrosse my sophomore year of high school. I got a bad football concussion and my mom didn’t want me to play football anymore so I tried lacrosse and fell in love with the game.
2.) Why did you decide to come to Michigan State?
I chose to attend Michigan State because of its Midwest location, great athletic programs, respected MCLA Lacrosse program, study abroad and internship opportunities, a reputable Science program, and an overall enjoyable atmosphere.
3.) What does it mean to you to play for MSU lacrosse?
It means a lot to me to be able to play lacrosse for Michigan State. I am so happy that I get to continue playing the game that I love with such a tight-knit group of guys who push me to be better every day while at the same time representing an incredible university.
4.) What’s your favorite lacrosse memory?
Winning the Sticks and Stones tournament my senior year for the first time in my school’s history.
5.) Why did you choose your current major?
I chose Genomics and Molecular Genetics because I have always been fascinated with modern science and in high school I did multiple projects and papers on genetic engineering and thought it was amazing. I ultimately wanted to study something I am passionate about and interested in and I really feel that genetics is the right major for me.
6.) If you could be any cartoon character, who would it be?
Michelangelo the ninja turtle. He was one of my favorite cartoon characters growing up and who wouldn’t want to be a teenage mutant ninja turtle named Michelangelo?
7.) What is something most people don’t know about you?
Most people don’t know that I can howl extremely well.
8.) If you could pick one person to be stuck in an elevator with, who would it be?
Undoubtedly David Blaine. I don’t think that guy can be stuck anywhere for more than a few minutes so hopefully he could get us out and if not he could just entertain me with magic. It’s really a win-win situation.
9.) Do you have any pre-game superstitions or rituals?
Besides drinking a lot of water, I normally try to lock in mentally before games and focus on being ready to play by just keeping to myself and listening to music for a little. “Intro” by The xx is always a go to pre-game song to set the tone.
