menuSpartans fall to Liberty Flames 13-6
Michigan State fell to #19 Liberty Wednesday March 9 13-6 in a MCLA Division 1 game in Lynchburg Virginia.
Liberty led the face off, extra man and ground ball statistics and jumped out to early 3-0 and 4-1 leads in a first quarter that ended 6-2 in the Flames favor.
The Spartans could not gain momentum in the second quarter as both teams scored one goal, putting Liberty up 7-3 at halftime.
The Spartans doubled up their goal production in the second half to finish with six goals on the night but could not create a run to get closer than four goals.
Liberty scored two goals in the final minutes during man-up situations.
